Dallas Mavericks point guard Kyrie Irving, who just inked a brand new contract extension with the Mavericks, has officially inked a brand new partnership with Chinese sports brand ANTA on a new shoe deal.
The deal was announced on Tuesday with an official press release, from ANTA, that stated that Irving’s signature shoes and lifestyle footwear will be unveiled early next year adding that Irving will serve as the brand’s Chief Creative Officer.
Irving, 31, had been with Nike since 2011, but the two ended their partnership last December following some conflict. The company initially suspended his deal after Irving posted a link on social media last October to a book and movie containing antisemitic tropes.
Irving just signed a new, three-year, $126 million deal to remain with the Mavericks.
