Calgary Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell has been placed on the six-game injured list, according to TSN’s David William Naylor.
Despite being placed on the 6-game injured list, the report states that Mitchell will miss 6 games, adding that the injury is considered week-to-week and saying that placing him on the list is a good strategy as it protects the team long-term.
Should Mitchell’s injury prove to be more serious, the team can recapture salary off cap.
Mitchell suffered what is believed to be a pectoral injury late in the Stampeders’ 36-32 win over the BC Lions. Mitchell underwent an MRI on Tuesday and the team sought out a second opinion on the results on Friday.
