Ticats’ Johnny Manziel Throws First CFL Touchdown

Hamilton Tiger-Cats quarterback Johnny Manziel threw his first CFL touchdown, going 12-for-20 for 88 yards, in a victory over the Montreal Alouettes on Saturday.

The Ticats scored 30 unanswered points to defeat Montreal in the preseason finale for both teams.

Manziel was sharp, at times, and helped spark Hamilton’s comeback from a 14-0 hole, throwing his first score with a three-yard pass to Alex Green that put Hamilton on the board 14-7.

Manziel opened the 2nd half by constructing two solid drives that were capped off by field goals.

Hamilton plays it’s season opener next Saturday.
