Welcome to Sports Babe of the Day #ThrowBackThursday! This week we’re bringing you an interview with the one and only Kelli Stack. This hardcore hockey gal was nice enough to help us out with this interview in the spring of 2012, two years after her first Silver Medal Olympica Win with Team USA. Kelli and the rest of her team have just won Silver again in Sochi, during the 2014 Winter Olympic Games, and to us, that’s pretty babely!
There are few to none that can stack up to babely ice hockey player Kelli Stack. This babe has it all: beauty, charm, intelligence, fortitude… Oh, and she happens to also kick ass on the US Women’s Olympic hockey team.
Miss Stack, 24 years-old, played for Boston College (taking a break before senior year for the 2010 Winter Olympics) and left with some tremendous athletic accomplishments. In a game against Boston University in the first round of the 2011 Beanpot Tournament, Stack accumulated 199 points in her career and broke BC’s all-time career points record, becoming the new program leader. At the conclusion of her career at Boston College, Stack was voted the New England Division I Player of the Year after leading Hockey East in points (56) and goals (34).
She also was one of three finalists,the first-ever from BC, for the Patty Kazmaier Award. Her incredible skills on the ice helped the women’s national team as well in 2010, as it was Stack who accumulated 8 points in her five Olympic games.
She is also a hat trick machine.
And, if you haven’t noticed, she is a babe.

15 QUESTIONS WITH KELLI STACK
1. When did you first lace up skates and decide to make a career out of playing ice hockey?
I first laced up roller skates at age 2. From there I made the switch to ice skates at age 4 and joined my first Mini-Mite team with the Parma Flyers out of Ohio. After that I was set on playing hockey for as long as I could.
2. Growing up, did you have a role model or someone who inspired you to be who you are?
Growing up, I looked up to my older sister Kim(30) and my older brother Kevin(28). They were both very athletic and played all types of sports so I wanted to do everything they did and be just like them.
3. You are a hat trick machine. For the US Olympic team you’ve had some pretty important ones: In the second game of the 2011 IIHF Eight Nations Tournament, you were one of two US players to register a hat trick in a victory over Japan. And then this year at the 2012 Worlds you earned another hat trick against Finland. What were those experiences like for you?
Getting a hat trick in a game is always exciting. It shows me that all the hard work I’ve put in is paying off. I care most about helping my team win games, so if I end up scoring a few goals that is always a plus.
4. In three words, how would your teammates describe you?
My teammates would describe me as funny, outgoing, and honest.
5. Which songs get the most play on your iPod?
The Motto by Drake and Lil Wayne, Springsteen by Eric Church, Crazy Girl by Eli Young Band
6. Who are your favorite athletes and sports teams to watch?
My favorite athletes are Trent Richardson from the Cleveland Browns, Claude Giroux from the Philadelphia Flyers, Steven Stamkos from the Tampa Bay Lightning, Bryce Harper from the Washington Nationals, and Kevin Durant from the Oklahoma City Thunder. My favorite sports teams to watch are the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Flyers, and Pittsburgh Penguins.
7. You went back to finish at Boston College after competing in the Olympics, what motivated that decision?
My decision to finish at Boston College was simple. I wanted to get a college degree from an outstanding school and I could not pass up playing hockey my senior year of college.
8. Is there a motto, saying, or core truth you try to live by?
I like to think that you get out of life what you put into it, so I try to put everything I have into all that I do, and I make sure that I am having fun at the same time.
9. Do you have any unusual talents?
I don’t particularly have any unusual talents, but I will say I am an excellent Corn-Hole/Bags player. I am also a sports freak, so I could probably answer any sports-related question thrown at me!
10. What’s in your DVD collection?
My DVD collection consists of classics like Bridesmaids, The Notebook, The Ugly Truth, P.S. I Love You, Law Abiding Citizen, and Robinhood Prince of Thieves (1991).
11. If we looked in your fridge right now, what would we find?
Eggs, Milk, Cheese, Avocados, Tomatoes, Hummus, Mangos, Spinach, and Hot Sauce
12. Sochi 2014 Olympics are around the corner. Tell us what you and the US Women’s Team are doing to prepare for the gold?
We are working hard every day. I was once told the Olympics are not every four years; they are every day because when training for something like this we cannot take a day off. We have camps in June, August, November, December, and April. We’ll be playing in tournaments like the Four Nations Cup and the IIHF World Championships within the next year.
13. Are you single, dating, or locked down?
Sorry guys, I am happily locked down to my boyfriend of two years, Joey. I couldn’t be happier!
14. Who would YOU feature as Sports Babe Of The Day?
I would feature Kacey Bellamy, my best friend and teammate, as Sports Babe Of The Day!
15. What do you want to be remembered for?
I want to be remembered for being a hard-working, talented hockey player that enjoys having fun at all times with my teammates
If that isn’t a babe I don’t know who is!
We know she’s taken, but all you gentlemen out there can at least appreciate a beautiful rocket who could outskate you on the ice and possibly out-knowledge you in sports.
