LAWS ON THE COURT: NBA Basketball Edition, Playoff Bound

So if you’re an NBA Basketball fan like myself, you know what’s going on right now! The 2013 NBA playoffs! You’re team may not have made them, but there are still a bunch that you can cheer for.

Eastern Conference

(1) Miami Heat vs. (8) Milwaukee Bucks

This might be a blow out, but the Milwaukee Bucks sure proved they had what it takes to be in the playoffs. Lebron James will definitely be the spectacle of all 4 games. Yes, I said 4 games, there is no way Milwaukee will win one game, the Heat are just way too good. Besides, they are returning champs, with the returning MVP. Stellar team. It would be a miracle if Milwaukee won that series.

I see Miami Heat winning 4-0, go on to the second round.

brooklyn nets

(4) Brooklyn Nets vs. (5) Chicago Bulls

It’s a toss up for me in this match up, both teams have great talent. The Brooklyn Nets have shown the NBA, that they can overcome any obstacles. They had a great season, with a great team. Kris Humphries, Brook Lopez, Reggie Evans, Deron Willams and Jerry Stackhouse will prove to the Chicago Bulls they came here to play. Derrick Rose, may still make an appearance in the post season, which would be excellent, but I doubt it, if they don’t make the second round.

This is an iffy one, but I see the Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls going to 7 games.

indiana pacers

(3) Indiana Pacers vs. (6) Atlanta Hawks

The Indiana Pacers are going to win this without a doubt. Paul George is leading the teams in assists, points and rebounds, he also won the Most Improved award. They will be on track to win in 4 games. The Atlanta Hawks with Jeff Teague, Josh Smith, and Kyle Krover they will likely give them a run for their money, and maybe win one game.

Pacers in 4 games.

(2) New York Knicks vs. (7) Boston Celtics

The New York Knicks and Carmelo Anthony will have their work cut out for them. Sure the Celtics have had a rough go this season, with all the injuries, and suspensions, but I doubt Kevin Garnett will give it up that quickly. Carmelo won the Scoring title this year, even though he was injured, and suspended this season.

NYK in 5 games

Western Conference

kevin durant

(1) Oklahoma City vs. (8) Houston Rockets

There is no doubt in my mind the Houston Rockets will win a game against OKC. With a stunning line up, Kevin Durant and Westbrook as a duo, there isn’t a chance Harden and Lin can match them. Besides OKC had the second best record in the NBA, and Kevin Durant was second place for the scoring title.

OKC will win in 4 games

(4) L.A. Clippers vs. (5) Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies proved to their fans, they were as good as any other team, even the L.A. Lakers, Chicago Bulls, and San Antonio Spurs. They are an excellent team, it is tragic they had to face the Clippers first. Chris Paul and Blake Griffin are unstoppable.

Clippers in 4 games

(3) Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors

Facing a team with the leading 3-pt shooter would be tough if you weren’t the Nuggets. Like the Miami Heat they too had a winning streak going, not a lot of people knew about it. They work as a team, and with that work ethic, they will be sure to make this playoff run very exciting.

(2) San Antonio Spurs vs. (7) L.A. Lakers

Theres nothing to say about this playoff run, the Lakers are just lucky to be in the playoffs with the awful luck they’ve had this season. Without Kobe Bryant, they aren’t going to make any noise. San Antonio may be an old team, but they can still take anyone on, and they will destroy the Lakers.

Spurs in 4 games.
