Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem Advance to French Open Final

Rafael Nadal and Dominic Thiem have both advanced to the French Open final.

Nadal defeated Juan Martin del Potro 6-4, 6-1, 6-2 on Friday to improve to 11-0 in French Open semifinal matches while Thiem ousted Marco Cecchinato 7-5, 7-6 (10), 6-1 on Friday.

“He’s an amazing player,” Nadal said of Thiem, according to ESPN. “He’s a player with big power. He’s playing with big confidence. … I know I have to play at my best. I know I have to improve a little bit.”

“He’s a big favorite against everybody,” Thiem said of Nadal. “Still, I know how to play against him. I have a plan.”
