The Calgary Stampeders have signed veteran linebacker Marcus Ball as they prepare to continue their Grey Cup championship defense in the upcoming CFL playoffs, according to TSN’s Matthew Scianitti.
Ball, who hasn’t played this season, signed a non-practice squad deal with the club, so this is not a practice squad deal.
Ball, 32, recorded 44 tackles and one interception over 10 games with the Toronto Argonauts last season and is a former CFL All-Star (2017) and a two-time Grey Cup champion with Toronto (2012, 2017).
