The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have announced that Matt Nichols will be back under center on Saturday when they take on the BC Lions at Investors Group Field in Week 4.
Nichols was was pulled from the 6-game injured list and returned to practice earlier this week and shared first-team reps with rookie Chris Streveler.
“It’s just exciting to get your brother back out there, man,” Winnipeg slotback Adarius Bowman said. “Its like having one of your troops missing for a while and then he’s back. It puts an extra boost in our whole offence.”
Streveler has played admirably in relief of Nichols, winning 1 of the 3 games he started and putting in some solid performances along the way.
