Mercury’s Diana Taurasi First WNBA Player To Reach 8,000-Point Milestone

Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi, already the WNBA’s all-time leading scorer, has become the first player in WNBA history to reach the 8,000 career-points milestone.

Taurasi entered Tuesday’s game against the New York Liberty with 7,997 points, and hit the milestone on a free throw that capped off a 3-point play in the first quarter.
