Sports Babe Of The Day

#ThrowBackThursday SPORTS BABE OF THE DAY: Kaylyn Kyle, Professional Soccer Player for Team Canada

Warning. The person you are about to see might cause you to go into a daze…for days. Meet Kaylyn Kyle, an absolute BABE who is known for playing on some of the biggest stages in international soccer competition. I’ll have to be honest with you; I didn’t think it was possible for someone to be so gorgeous!

I wasn’t kidding, eh? If there was a rule in soccer that handed out red cards to the hottest player on the pitch, I think it’s pretty evident who would be hitting the showers a little earlier than anticipated.

Kaylyn has played in multiple Women’s World Cup matches for Canada, and started in each game. Even though Canada had a tough time against Germany, France and Nigeria in the summer of 2011, she started every game. She tallied a goal against Colombia in October, helping lead her country to a 2-1 win.
On her Facebook page, her ‘About’ section says, “Aside from playing soccer, Kaylyn is big into fashion. After her soccer career, she hopes to be involved in the fashion industry. Canada’s Next Top Model?” Whoever is in charge of finding the next top models, you’d be doing yourself a favor by adding this babe to the runway.

You better improve your conditioning, because you’re about to lose your breath after reading these:

20 QUESTIONS WITH KAYLYN KYLE

(1.) Being from Canada, what made you want to start playing soccer instead of hockey?
Well for one, I couldn’t skate and had to use the boards to stop. That’s basically a recipe for disaster!

(2.) Do you have a role model or someone you looked up to who inspired you to be who you are?
My parents. Neither of them played soccer, but they are the two most driven people that I know!

(3.) What is a normal day like for you?
Wake up first, and I have to make coffee or else I’m useless for the day. Go to the gym, take my dog for a run, and meet some friends for lunch. Haha I’m really trying to think of something that makes my days exciting, but they’re pretty standard!

(4.) When did you know that you had the talent to become one of the best Canadian soccer players?
Growing up, I never thought I could play for the national team, so I’m not sure there was a point where I knew that I could make the team. There are days where I still don’t believe it’s real. I’m extremely lucky and thankful for the opportunity.

(5.) You’ve played in two U-20 World Cups. What was your reaction after you found out for the first time that you’d be representing your country?
To be completely honest, I was in shock. It’s been a dream of mine since I watched my first game. To be given the opportunity three times to represent my country in two under-20 World Cups and one women’s World Cup, it still seems surreal and I am so blessed and lucky! Some days I still have to pinch myself 🙂

(6.) What are your two biggest pet peeves?
People that are late and people that call you to just “chat” drive me nuts!

(7.) What are a few things that you absolutely cannot live without?
My family (cliché I know), my dog, lip gloss and my curling iron.

(8.) If you could obtain any superpower, what would you choose?
To be able to fly, for sure!

(9.) Are you single, dating or locked down?
All of the above 😉

(10.) What is the worst pick-up line you’ve ever heard/witnessed?
“Can I get your number? I’ve seemed to have lost mine.”

(11.) Let’s say that you were in a duel with a brunette on deciding which hair color is better. What would be your winning, final argument?
Scarlett Johansson, Marilyn Monroe, Farrah Fawcett. Need I say more?

(12.) You are a Right To Play ambassador. What is that, and what exactly do you do?
Mission: to improve the lives of children in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the world by using the power of sport and play for development, health and peace. Vision: to create a healthier and safer world through the power of sport and play. Values: Right To Play’s values reflect the best practices of sport and play.

(13.) If you had a chance to go to dinner with anyone in the world, who would you choose and why?
Prince Harry, red-headed babe. Kings of Leon, unreal music. Messi, soccer god!

(14.) What song on your iPod has the most plays?
Levels, all 46 versions of it :/ I do have a lot of 1-hour mixes that my DJ friend puts together for me!

(15.) What other sports do you enjoy watching?
Golf, NASCAR (the last 10 laps), and the playoffs of any sport!

(16.) Creamy or crunchy peanut butter?
Natural peanut butter

(17.) What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
To work hard and keep focused on what you need to work on and not what other are doing.

(18.) What are your guilty pleasures?
Chips and white wine.

(19.) Who would you recommend as the next Sports Babe of the Day?
Jeremy Flores (@floresjeremy). Just take a sneak peek and you will know what I mean 😉

(20.) What do you want to be remembered for?
Just being a genuinely good person, someone that young soccer players can one day look up to, and someone that was happy and that people loved being around.

This girl is stunning, athletic, a tremendous soccer player – AND she is an ambassador to help others learn about the game of soccer? What a sweetheart. Kaylyn is without a doubt a beautiful person, inside and out! Make sure you follow her at @KaylynKyle on Twitter. Thanks for the interview Kaylyn, you’re a babe!
