Simona Halep came back from a set down to beat Sloane Stephens in the women’s French Open final on Saturday to claim her 1st Grand Slam title.
It was Halep’s fourth opportunity to do so. Fourth time is the charm apparently, as Halep won 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.
Halep overcame a rough start, and incredible defense from Stephens, but eventually wore on, picked up steam, and stormed back.
Sloane looked tired after starting so strong, and Halep rallied from her slow start to take the 2018 crown.
